Step into the story of Pando – a single aspen organism that has quietly endured for thousands of years. On this 2-3 hour guided experience, we’ll explore how tectonic uplift, volcanic soils, and retreating glaciers prepared the stage for one tiny aspen seed to take root and spread across 106 acres. Along the way, you’ll discover how this forest is not a collection of trees, but one interconnected lifeform sustained by an ancient root system. Through interactive demonstrations, storytelling, and moments of quiet reflection, you’ll connect geology, ecology, and human history in a way that transforms how you see the landscape. By the end of the hike, you won’t just understand Pando—you’ll feel your place within its story!

Cancellation Policy
a. Cancelations are allowed up to 48 hours before the start time of the trip/shuttle. In the event that you must cancel within 48 hours of the trip/shuttle you will receive a refund of 50% of the total cost of the trip. No refunds will be issued after, or on the same day of the trip. b. Rescheduling is allowed up to 24 hours before the start time of the trip/shuttle. c. If we determine that the weather conditions make it unsafe or impractical to conduct the trip, we will offer you the option to reschedule or receive a full refund of your deposit and any other payments made. We will not run shuttles on days where the trails are excessively muddy, in such a case you will be subjected to a full refund or the chance to reschedule.
