HIKING IN FISHLAKE NATIONAL FOREST

The Fishlake National Forest is home to some of the most scenic hiking in Utah.  Whether you want to hike amongst Pando – the largest living organism on earth, spend a day exploring sandstone canyons, or hiking along granite crags--we have a hike that you will love.

Our Hikes

We offer different hikes in the Fishlake National Forest depending on where you are staying. We have options for desert, or alpine hikes. Hikes along creeks and high elevation summits.  When you book your trip, let us know what area you are interested in, or your preferences so we can arrange a hike that is right for you!

Richfield

Just minutes from downtown Richfield, you can be hiking through red rock slot canyons, granite crags or alpine forests.​​

Tushar Mountains

Hike through an ancient volcanic landscape featuring high alpine peaks, dramatic views, old growth forest, mountain goat herds, and even waterfalls!

Maple Grove

Located about 45 minutes north of richfield, this area offers hikes through pine and aspen forests

Fish Lake

Walk amongst one of the largest living organisms on earth called "Pando" an impressive aspen forest.  Fish Lake features dramatic views of central Utah's plateau country.  The Fish Lake High Top is also the high point of Sevier County!

Guide

Utah Vivid Adventure Guides know many different options for hikes. Waterfalls, 12,000' peaks, sandstone canyons, lakes, aspen and pine forests, and granite crags are just some of the destinations we offer.

Transportation

If you are staying in the Richfield UT area, a Utah Vivid Adventures guide will pick you or your group up at the location you are staying at, or the guide will arrange a meet up location.  The guide will then transport you or your group to the destination.

Custom Trip

Trips can be tailored to almost any comfort, or skill level.  Locations and routes will depend on the groups experience and fitness level.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Seasonally appropriate athletic clothing and layers.

  • appropriate footwear with tread for hiking. Sneakers, sandals, and running shoes are NOT the best option.

  • 2 liters of water.

  • snacks or lunch

  • backpacks for carrying personal gear

  • Sun protection such as hats, sunglasses, sunscreen.
