Fish Lake and Pando
Fish Lake is Utah's largest mountain lake. The lake covers about 2,500 square acres, stretches about 5.5 miles long and 1.1 miles wide with an average depth of 85 feet deep and a maximum depth of about 175 feet deep. The Fish Lake basin is also the home to Pando, which is the largest tree by size and weight on Earth! The Fish Lake plateau rises to a height of about 11,700 feet above sea level making it the highest point in Sevier County. There are several campgrounds and lodging, and restaurants, and hiking trails, with opportunities for day hikes, or backpacking trips. Fish Lake is also known as a "blue ribbon" fishery making it an ideal summer fishing location.
